About BodyTalk

Why do I need BodyTalk?

We all experience stress in mind, body or spirit. In fact, it is the number one cause of disease in the world because it causes the natural communication lines in the body to break down.

When the body forgets how to communicate with itself, injury and illness occur. The parts forget how to work as a Team and start segmenting themselves.

A Symptom is the last stage of imbalance – the body is calling out for help – we just have to listen.

BodyTalk is a safe and gentle form to bring back your balance and well-being and re-establishing your optimum health. Your body has an inner intelligence that drives the body mind towards homeostasis, or balance. It is that which animates you. This inner intelligence works like the conductor of an orchestra. All the parts of the body represent the musicians with their instruments and the Inner intelligence is the conductor, the regent for the harmonic orchestra.

How it works

BodyTalk respects the body’s wisdom to heal itself. The BodyTalk technique uses a passive muscle test (Biofeedback method) that creates a dialogue with the intelligence of the body/mind complex.

You are generally on a massage table (fully clothed) and the practitioner asks questions of the client’s body to find out what area is a priority to address, what needs to be treated and in what order. Light hand contact and a gentle tapping technique of the heart and the head is used to help the brain balance and restore communication within the body.

Head: Tapping on the head tells the brain to be aware of what has to be repaired.
Heart: Tapping on the heart helps the body remember this dialogue.

Once the body has been reminded of the issue, it can initiate its own healing processes. “Your body knows how to heal itself, it just needs to remember how.”

Heart–Brain Interactions:

The heart and brain maintain a continuous two-way dialogue, each influencing the other’s functioning. Although it is not well known, the heart sends far more information to brain than the brain sends to the heart and the signals the heart sends to the brain can influence perception, emotional processing and higher cognitive functions. This system and circuitry is viewed by neurocardiology researchers as a "heart brain." The heart also generates the strongest rhythmic electromagnetic field in the body and this actually can be measured in the brain waves of people around us.

BodyTalk Access

BodyTalk AccessThe BodyTalk Access class is a one day seminar that provides lay people and professionals with a simple and effective 10-minute set of energy-based techniques designed to deal with all types of health challenges for anyone of any age. You learn easy hand positions, light touching and tapping, and deep breathing in a sequence that brings about balance and communication in the body and mind. Through exposure to stress, genetics, environmental factors, and lifestyle, communication within the body and mind are compromised, which leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental health.

In this course you will learn to balance:
